| FedEx Trucks for Treats
FedEx is bringing its community-based Trucks for Treats program to the Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival, October 17-18.

Together with Safe Kids Worldwide, FedEx established the Safe Kids Walk This Way program to teach safe behaviors to motorists and child pedestrians and create safer, more walkable communities.
Halloween is one of the most dangerous days of the year for child pedestrians. Children are excited and may move in unpredictable ways, and popular trick-or-treating hours are during the typical rush-hour period.
To raise awareness about these risks and promote safe behaviors, FedEx will provide reflective giveaways to increase children's visibility during evening hours and safety tips for parents and motorists during the Pumpkin Festival.

FedEx believes it is important to give back to the communities we serve. The FedEx Special Delivery Program supports local organizations by donating transportation services and manpower to help them fulfill their missions.
One of the FedEx Special delivery vehicles, decorated with with multi-colored hearts, will be in the FedEx Great Pumpkin Parade at the Pumpkin Festival.
Since the Special Delivery program was launched in 2004, six dedicated vehicles and thousands of FedEx volunteers have participated in hundreds of events across the U.S., helping worthy organizations collect and transport more than . . .
- 1.2 million pounds of food
- 252,000 pieces of clothing
- 450,000 toys
FedEx Special Delivery vehicles and volunteers have participated in hundreds of exceptional events in communities across the U.S. and Canada, including these:
Trees for Troops
The holidays can be a dreary time for those away from their loved ones. To help make the season a little brighter, FedEx and the Christmas Tree Foundation joined forces to bring live Christmas trees to troops serving overseas and their families on military bases across the U.S. Using large FedEx Special Delivery trailers and our fleet of FedEx Express airplanes, we have proudly delivered thousands of fresh Christmas trees to the men and women of the armed forces.
Dress for Success
FedEx employees in New York worked closely with Dress for Success and the cast of a hit Broadway musical to help make a positive difference in New York City. The FedEx Special Delivery truck was stationed in front of the theater, a high-profile location near Times Square, to accept career-appropriate clothes destined for women in need who are entering the workforce. In total, nearly 300 articles of clothing, shoes and accessories were donated by the local community and cast members.
Operation Blessing
Each year the Washington Redskins work with local companies and food banks to provide Thanksgiving Day meals to those in need in the Washington, D.C., community. FedEx Special Delivery trucks and dozens of volunteers provided a helping hand to distribute more than 120,000 pounds of food and 3,000 turkeys to more than 3,000 local residents. The FedEx Special Delivery truck, accompanied by Redskins players, delivered an additional 520 "Thanksgiving baskets" of food and turkeys to three local shelters.

We are also a founding member of Carex (Cargo Rail Express), a group developing an express-rail network in Europe, offering an alternative to aircraft routes, improving fuel efficiency and reducing noise impact.
FedEx Express, FedEx Ground and FedEx Freight are members of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) SmartWay Transport Initiative - a voluntary alliance between various freight industry sectors and EPA that seeks fuel-efficiency improvements and greenhouse gas reductions through operational changes.
