Farmers Insurance Companies will be featured at Northern California’s biggest car and historic military aircraft show on Sunday, April 26th from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m. at Half Moon Bay Airport South of San Francisco.
“We are excited about being a part of this year’s Dream Machines event,” noted Farmers State Executive Director John Weaver. “We will be featuring our Orange County Chopper, Customer Care Vehicle and conducting a Managing Information for Lost Kids (M.i.l.k.) program during the day.”
Farmers Orange County Chopper
Owned by Farmers’ District Manager Doug Dillard, the Orange County Chopper is a one of a kind motorcycle custom-built for Farmers Insurance/Foremost by Orange County Choppers of New York. “The custom paintwork was done by NUB, a nationally well-known painter of custom Motorcycles,” stated Dillard. “The black custom leather seat was designed by Danny Gray. The Chopper is powered by a V-twin engine which is fully chromed and polished with very high detail. The Chopper is equipped with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, Mikumi Carburetor, Baker 6 speed transmission, chromed custom oil tank, custom dual exhaust, and a Foremost Insurance custom cover on the belt drive, along with Foremost custom dual mirrors. It is quite the machine.”
M.i.l.k. Program
“We are also going to be setting up a “M.i.l.k” booth to photograph and fingerprint as many children as possible,” Weaver continued.
Parents will receive a CD of their child’s photo and fingerprints. The Milk program is aimed at aiding in the recovery of lost children. In the event of an emergency, the M.i.l.k. Digital ID can immediately be forwarded to local authorities and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The M.i.l.k. Digital ID has been referred to as the first step in the national Amber Alert plan.
“We hope all parents attending the Dream Machines Show will stop by our booth located right across from the Kids Play Area, and right next to the law enforcement booths,” Weaver said. ”All a parent has to do is come to the “M.i.l.k. booth and pick up a kit.”
Customer Care Vehicle
Joining the O.C. Chopper and Milk booth will be Farmers Customer Care Vehicle (CCV). Farmers has a fleet of these trailers pulled by SUV’s that are stationed across America and are deployed at a moment’s notice to help Farmers customers at a catastrophe that occurs anywhere in the contiguous United States. The CCV is equipped with state-of-the-art satellite communications equipment and supplies to help Farmers’ customers and non-customers alike who are victims of a tornado, fire, hurricane or storm,” Weaver said.
